Becoming a better wildlife photographer has very little to do with what camera you use, how expensive your lens is, or the sophistication of you autofocus system.

As the saying goes, if you want to make better photographs, put yourself in better situations.

All of the technical knowledge about photography does us no good if we cannot predictably find wildlife and put them at ease with our presence.

The real secret sauce is a deeper understanding of the ecology of animals, their behavior, and the art of finding animals.
